Meteor - open source platform for building web and mobile apps in pure JavaScript
Time to add one more cross-platform tool to the myriad of cross-platform offerings. Meteor (http://www.meteor.com) is an open source web and mobile application development platform using JavaScript with a set of core projects to assist developers to build cross-platform solutions quickly. Meteor offers Blaze – a UI library similar to Anular, Backbone, etc. for creating live-updating user interfaces, Tracker – a reactive programming interface, DDP - the Distributed Data Protocol, is a simple protocol for fetching structured data from a server, and receiving live updates when that data changes.
Motorola Nexus 6
Motorola Nexus 6 goes on sale. It will be the first phone to sport Google’s new Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system. The phone touts a pixel-rich, 6" Quad HD display and dual front-facing speakers. The package is powered by a Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ 805 quad-core 2.7GHz processor for lightning fast multi-tasking and the Adreno 420 GPU for highly immersive and brilliant graphics. The smartphone also includes a 13 megapixel camera with optical image stabilization and a large 3220 mAH battery.
In addition, the Nexus 9 tablet was also launched.
